Position Summary:

In this role, the HR Generalist provides the full range of HR support to the manufacturing facility in the areas of positive employee relations and engagement, talent acquisition and retention, employee development, compensation, and benefits administration. This position is also responsible for partnering with the site’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team to support the sites safety programs and initiatives.


Reporting Relationships:

The HR Generalist reports directly to the Sr. Human Resources Manager.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a business partner and advisor to the frontline supervisory team. Provide guidance and advice on employee relations issues, HR policies and practices, and legal risk. Understands the business and implements HR strategies to align with business goals.
  • Develop and administer key HR policies and processes. Recommends changes to affect continuous improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Partner with and support department managers with performance management and employee development.
  • Lead employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Oversee employee engagement strategy to motivate the workforce, reward performance and retain workers.
  • Manage full cycle recruiting for hourly requisitions.
  • Partner with EHS to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • As a subject matter expert on Washington Wage and hour practices, identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR function and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • May occasionally perform special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence leadership and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Able to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA, and related state and federal regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to work productively and independently.
  • Knowledge of Washington wage and Hour policies and practices a plus.
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation management a plus.

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field a plus.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience, manufacturing environment preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $66600 to $100000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
