For Air France Industries/KLM Engineering & Maintenance, a flexible and future-proof IT landscape is essential to support its strategic objectives.
The world of aircraft maintenance is constantly changing. Core processes require smart integration solutions, digitalization, and the growing use of predictive maintenance (enabled by Big Data). Changing spanet conditions place ever-increasing demands on collaboration with subsidiaries, suppliers, and customers. Flexibility, scalability, and transparency in IT integration are crucial in this regard.
The IT organization responds to this by designing the application landscape based on modern architectural principles. Customer needs are translated into (reference) architectures, and we work according to agile principles within the SAFe framework.
At Air France Industries/KLM Engineering & Maintenance, SAP, Maintenix, and Documentum/xCP are the core systems, supplemented by specific vendor systems. We unlock these systems with mobile solutions based on APIs via Ionic or SAP Fiori and platforms such as Salesforce and Mendix.
As an ICT architect, youll design the ICT solutions for your project or product. Think, for example, of mobile applications for maintenance engineers, logistics systems for our aircraft components, or predictive maintenance solutions for aircraft parts. And everything that connects them. Youll transparently translate our clients functional and non-functional requirements into a suitable solution, based on the direction provided by the reference architectures and operational guidelines. Youll document your architectural decisions and have them approved by the architecture board. This allows the developers to create the software, the ICT specialists to set up the necessary infrastructure, and the service specialists to set up the end-to-end service. Youll play a crucial role in the success of the projects you work on, from concept to implementation.
Furthermore:
You will collaborate with various teams to define and implement appropriate IT solutions;
You will continuously stay informed about the latest IT developments and apply them in projects;
You will provide input for the business domain architecture and ensure compliance with the AF/KLM Enterprise Architecture principles;
You will support project teams by answering questions and ensuring the design is properly understood;
You will contribute to the implementation of IT solutions and ensure they meet the agreed service levels.
Youll become part of the E&M Organizer, the IT supplier for Air France Industries/KLM Engineering & Maintenance. Youll work directly with other IT architects, domain architects, and solution architects to further develop the application and integration landscape. This will involve close collaboration with agile product teams, release trains, and project groups. Youll participate in weekly architecture meetings, where knowledge and experience are shared. If necessary, youll travel to France to coordinate and collaborate with your Air France colleagues. Youll find yourself in an international arena with a dynamic work environment—among the hangars and aircraft at Schiphol-Oost.
You have a passion for ICT and developing innovative solutions. You can quickly understand complex issues and formulate solutions that meet business needs. You work in a structured manner and always think long-term. You also have strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with various teams, both technical and non-technical.
