IT Senior Project Manager

Job Description:

DPP is seeking an IT Senior Project Manager for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work location: Partial Onsite - Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, other days as required by project planned deliverables.
Duration: 12 months
Term: W2 position

Position summary:

Lead several projects (one to five) in a strong matrix environment executing Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
Developing and monitoring project plans, communication plans, risk management plans, and project artifacts from project initiation to post implementation/closure.
Ensures project deliverables are complete on time, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with company standards:
- Responsible daily for the development, execution, and maintenance of project plans and project communications;
- Facilitating effective communications between all parties involved in the project, including meetings, correspondence/recaps, status reports and other project artifacts per company standards.
Monitors resource requirements and assigned deliverables based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted.
Identifies and manages tasks and issues that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort to ensure delivery as planned.
Provides both written and verbal project status updates upon request.

Required technologies:

Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint Online, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Teams, etc.)
Familiar with IT SDLC

Minimum required work experience:

5 years of IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years of experience leading two or more concurrent project teams.
Completion of the company’s Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience.

About the team:

The Sr. Project Manager will report to a Portfolio Manager with a team of 8 - 10 Project Managers.
Most project teams will range between 8 - 20 team members.
The VDS team supports various portfolios including Telephony, Blue Cross Association, and Med Advantage.

Required education/equivalencies:

Bachelor’s degreee;
OR, Associates degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 9 years without a degree)
