Intern (d/f/m) VTP structural analysis
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity for an Internship in the field of Aircraft Airframe Development? Then apply now and join the RFE (Rear Fuselage End) Airframe engineering department as an Intern (d/f/m)!
In this role you will join the VTP design office in Hamburg, within the RFE Airframe Engineering, a dynamic and transnational team. You will be part of the stress team and involved in airframe development activities strongly focused on innovation and sustainability.
Location: Hamburg
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 3-6 months
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You will contribute to the development of the next improved VTP structures, dealing on a daily basis with state-of-art CFRP design and sizing methodologies.
You will be in touch with the manufacturing site and obtain an end-to-end view of the product, from the idealization phase until in-service deployment.
You will be working in an environment striving for innovation and sustainability as top priorities.
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full time student within Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or similar field of study
Basics in structural calculations, basic competencies in the field of light structures
Experience in FEM would be beneficial
You are an autonomous student, a team player as well as a good communicator (d/f/m)
Fluent English language skills, German would be a plus
