In order to support the Communications Team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Internship Data Scientist within Communications

Location: Taufkirchen/Ottobrunn
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 3-6 months

Your tasks and responsibilities

• During this six month internship you will be responsible for analyzing the current AS IS of our tools, data and process landscape, translating them into a strategy to improve our data handling and reporting via tool creation and process automation.

• You will have to understand various teams’ business processes and needs and strive for standardization in a complex IT landscape with some technological restrictions.

• You will benefit from a good overview of Airbus’ business landscape and processes as well as access to our learning catalog to ensure your development during your internship.

• Data Governance and sorting

• Database administration 

• Semantic analysis for Big data

• Internal Web site content administration

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) preferably Master student in Software Engineering or Computer science

• Big data/Data Analysis 

• Google data studio

• Developer skills (Python)

• Ability to understand a complex functional/business context and translate into a simple and user friendly solution. Project management or Agile Scrum basics would be a plus

• First practical experience in the field of software development or data science is a plus

• Fluent in English

The following skills would be a plus:

• Community management skills

• Process and task Automation

• UI/UX and Graphic/web design knowledge

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
