Job Description SummaryThe Catalyst Services Powerplant Engineer (SPPE) will provide technical solutions to shop operations by workscope reviews and MR&O capability evaluations for engines and/or components. The SPPE is accountable for service bulletins and modifications implementation and for the deployment of new MRO and repair practices and technologies at shops.
He/She collaborates daily with the Avio Aero Services Technologies organization to leverage Fleet modeling and Repair Engineering expertise to establish Catalyst service contracts profitability and to grant cross fertilization for the MRO support activities between the two organizations.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Connect engineering teams (Fleet modeling, Repair, LCE and System Engineering) with MRO shop as workscope execution focal for Catalyst engines.
    • develop deep understanding of appropriate maintenance procedure (Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual, ect.)
    • support NPI process for MRO & repair procedures, being accountable for MRO technology deployment, including repairs
    • participate in nonconformance evaluation and follow through disposition by engaging Life Cycle Engineering team and/or other resources to facilitate and grant effective deviation assessment
    • accountable for workscope escalation mitigation and productivity projects support: monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments to Catalyst leadership team
    • partner with production and planning teams to coordinate work scopes, logistics, etc. to effectively complete engine repairs in the shop and to assure the engine meets or exceeds all requirements
    • accountable for leading indicator programs execution, initial data analysis and weak signals communication to LCE and Fleet Managers to anticipate / eliminate fleet issues
    • participates in cross functional team as part of lean type events for service contracts productivity enhancement

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
    • Good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
    • Clear thinking and diligent approach
    • Fluency in English
