Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an intern to join our Human Resources department based in Columbus, MS.

Your working environment:

On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:

Administrative: 70

  • Assist with the HR/People Operations administrations to include recruitment, on boarding, administrative paperwork, drug & alcohol program, etc.
  • Create/maintain files: personnel, benefit, and electronic job folders, etc.
  • Create/maintain PO/PR for HR, etc.
  • Data entry into ADP/SAP/LMS
  • Assist with employee questions
  • Prepare outgoing mail/shipments; order supplies
  • Send birthday cards and/or loss/memorial messages

Compliance: 15

  • Schedule and track 90-day performance reviews
  • Monthly reports, as needed

Employee Event Planning: 15

  • Assist with Service awards and birthday celebrations
  • Assist with Employee Engagement Events
  • Assist with Diversity and Inclusion events, as needed

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your boarding pass:
  • Must be currently in the area able to work onsite at the facility in Columbus, MS
  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent experience and currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, required
  • Seeking degree in Human Resources, preferred
  • Some office environment work, preferred
  • Skilled in the use of computer/programs to include Microsoft Suite of products, required
  • Exposure SAP, ADP, Workday tools, preferred
  • Requires the ability to communicate optimally in verbal and written form with internal and external customers.
  • Must be well organized and have good time management skills.

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
