Job Description:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Ensure that you present yourself in a professional manner and appearance in a day-to-day contact with customers, guests and co-workers.
  • Document all OJT to build experience portfolio.
  • Perform tasks as required by the work scope with efficiency and to quality standards
  • Utilize the applicable technical data relative to work performed including but not limited to: maintenance and inspection, servicing and lubrication, repair and modifications
  • Learn the Quality Control systems and procedures of the Repair Station/ Quality Control Manual relative to the scope of the normally assigned duties
  • Acquire a working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations and in particular, CFR parts 43, 91, and 145; and 135 as required
  • Complete aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms in accordance with methods of execution outlined in the RSM/QCM
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices by utilizing a 5Ssystem of “sort, set in order, shine, standardize and sustain”
  • Focus on Human Factors in the workplace and strive for zero defects in workmanship and safety
  • Observe and administer company rules and regulations and safety policy and standard operating procedures

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • May perform other duties as required to meet departmental goals
  • Perform at maximum efficiency by effective use of available resources
  • Collaborate and cooperate with the Customer Project Supervisor to achieve the on time and on budget objectives of the work scope
  • Perform daily activities toward providing services and deliverables to the customer that meet and exceed customer satisfaction expectations
  • Support the corporate mission and vision through achievement of department goals and objectives

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a technical training course with certificate
  • Must possess the physical dexterity and general mechanical knowledge required for a technician
  • Proficient in the use of pneumatic tools and basic hand tools
  • Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents
  • Ability to understand and relay both written and verbal instructions

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous aviation experience preferred
  • Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts and schematics
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Prior experience drilling and fastening of sheet metal parts
  • Prior welding, fabrication or cabinetry experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Hangar and ramp environments with variance temperature range normal to Reno, Nevada
  • Must be able to work and bend in a confined work space
  • Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Work with high noise levels including jet engines
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and or overtime based on business needs
  • Ability to work at heights up to 50 above ground
