Job Description:

Dassault Falcon Jet is building a state of the art 54,000 square foot flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.

Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, FL is seeking a full time Facility Manager & EHS Manager who will be responsible for our Melbourne and our Stuart facilities. The Manager will be responsible for the overall maintenance and security of the Melbourne and Stuart MRO facilities, including Employee Health & Safety. This position oversees and participates in all facility related activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, tooling, ground support equipment, security, employee health and safety, fire/safety, cleaning, parking lot and landscaping. This position manages construction/furniture projects, custodial services for both sites with assistance of property management firm(s).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage maintenance of facility and grounds of the MLB/SUA MRO facilities and buildings
    • Assure optimal functioning of building systems (HVAC, fire/safety, electrical, plumbing, elevators, etc.) and perform basic preventive maintenance.
    • Maintaining tooling and ground support equipment
    • Direct point of contact and supervision of all building contractors
    • Responsible for vendor bidding and service agreements.
    • Supervise work of building contractors and services
    • Develop and maintain the facilities departmental processes.
    • Plan, budget, schedule facility maintenance and modifications.
    • Responsible for operating and capital budgets
    • Manage the office services function, including mailroom and mail distribution.
    • Manage departmental staff which includes employee performance and evaluations.
    • Interface with building management company and appropriate managers, directors and employees
  • Responsible for all activities pertaining to Environmental, Health and Safety
    • Interface professionally with company employees, customers and government officials in all areas relating to the environment, health, and safety. Provide guidance and advice to management in support of EHS programs and compliance.
    • Develop and maintain the EHS procedures for hazard identification and risk assessment and determination of necessary controls.
    • Conduct routine training and audits for environmental, health and safety compliance.
    • Review accidents and incidents for effective root cause analysis and corrective action and prevention.
    • Serve on company Safety Committee Team
    • Maintain and ensure environmental compliance with permits, reports and company objectives. Key environmental tasks include oversight of Hazardous Waste/RCRA, Title V Air, Storm water, and Chemical Management Programs.
    • Implement and oversee the industrial hygiene (IH) program to ensure employees are not overexposed to existing or new chemical, biological and physical agents. This includes assessing chemical handling tasks, developing proper air monitoring objectives and monitoring to ensure plans are completed. Educate employees and management in the hazard of particular chemicals and help to drive improvements to reduce or eliminate exposures.
    • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of existing and proposed federal, state and local EHS regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as required/assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in facilities management
  • Three (3) years of experience in departmental budgeting and employee management
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Experience in Commercial HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical
  • Ability to drive forklift.
  • Knowledge and ability to follow safety practices and recognize hazards.
  • Skill in using hand and power tools.
  • Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Available 24/7 to respond to emergency operations that may be required during normal and non-business hours.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• HAZWOPPER and or OSHA 30 Certified a plus

• FAA and MRO experience a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to accompany contractors throughout facilities, grounds and roof including satellite buildings

• Must be able to work safely in lifts up to 50 high and climb ladders

• Must be able to use hand tools

• Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
