Job Description: MRO Technician – Aerospace Components
Overview
We are seeking skilled and detail‑oriented MRO Technicians to support aerospace component inspection, repair, overhaul, and testing in a regulated FAA Part 145 environment. This role focuses on precision repair work, technical documentation accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates bring hands-on mechanical aptitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience working with component maintenance manuals (CMMs) and aviation repair processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, overhaul, and reassembly of aircraft components according to CMMs, technical data, and work instructions.
- Conduct measurements, tolerancing, and part evaluations using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Replace, adjust, and fit components to meet required specifications and ensure airworthiness.
- Document all work performed in the ERP system, ensuring traceability, accuracy, and compliance.
- Complete required forms, tags, repair documentation, and traveler packets per FAA guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with FOD prevention, tool control, ESD, and calibration requirements.
- Follow strict quality, safety, and process standards in accordance with FAA, AS9100/AS9110, and internal procedures.
- Collaborate with inspectors, engineering teams, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and resolution of technical issues.
- Support continuous improvement, 5S, and adherence to production schedules and turnaround times (TAT).
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of aerospace, component repair, overhaul, precision assembly, or mechanical trade experience.
- Ability to read and interpret CMMs, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools and mechanical repair techniques.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 repair station practices and documentation standards.
- Experience using ERP systems, digital work instructions, and basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and ability to follow regulated processes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace components such as nacelles, interiors, hydraulics, pneumatics, avionics assemblies, electrical components, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of AS9100/AS9110 standards.
- Previous experience with root cause analysis, nonconformance documentation, or FAI processes.
- Experience in troubleshooting component performance issues or performing functional testing.
- A&P license is a plus, but not required for component-level work.
- Lean/5S/continuous improvement involvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
