Salary Range: $33,000 - $45,000
The Machine Operator - Level 1 works in the Tonawanda factory and assists with production of high-performance heat exchanger tubing for the Oil and Gas industry. Machine Operators are responsible for working safely and efficiently as a team to meet the site goals. This position will work report to a Production Supervisor and work closely with the other Machine Operators, the Lead Machine Operators, 3rd party contractors, and safety and maintenance technicians.
Position Responsibilities:
Work each day with the understanding that safety is our number one priority. Escalate any safety issues and stop employees or contractors who are working unsafely.
Trim, straighten and evaluate quality of tubes before packaging.
Safety operate overhead cranes.
Complete paperwork at required frequency, such as standard work, housekeeping checklists, and safety audits.
Contribute to the sites continuous improvement culture by actively looking for opportunities for improvement and participating in site continuous improvement teams.
Lifting is generally at or below 30lbs. Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, and physical risks is anticipated.
Able to follow pre-established procedures and supervisor instructions for all aspects of the job
Able to work a rotating first and second shift schedule and adjust as necessary when business demand fluctuates.
Able to stand for extended periods of time.
YOU MUST HAVE
High School Diploma or GED
WE VALUE
2 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment.
Experienced in mechanical and critical thinking skills.
