Maintenance Training Coordinator

The Maintenance Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all training needs on behalf of RavnAir Connect maintenance personnel, which includes in-house and third-party trainings. The Maintenance Training Coordinator tracks and maintains training records, and will complete other trainings as assigned/requested by the Director of Maintenance for RavnAir Connect. This position will spend half of their time in an office environment at a computer and the other half in a classroom setting. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Creates, updates, and instructs on a variety of training topics, ensuring the information shared is accurate, up-to-date, and thoroughly covered through training materials;
  • Identifies and reports safety hazards in the work environment or when confronted with an unsafe situation;
  • Promotes a positive Safety Culture with co-workers, follows accident prevention procedures, and supports the organization in compliance with Safety Management System (SMS);
Operational Excellence
  • Tracks and schedules all recurrent training requirements, ensuring personnel remain current and all recurrent training is documented and tracked properly;
  • Maintains individual training records, ensuring all on-the-job (OJT) and formal training requirements are documented and current;
  • Establishes training goals by assessing maintenance personnel needs and coordinates with the Director of Maintenance for RavnAir Connect regarding implementation;
Customer Satisfaction
  • Regularly checks in with end users to ensure training is clear, concise, and accurate and that there are no issues with the training course materials, traveling to remote airport locations as needed;
  • Assesses end user retention to ensure personnel is able to apply training during work tasks;
  • Handles stressful and complicated situations as they arise in a calm and professional manner, working towards a solution with necessary company personnel;

  • Maintains confidentiality of company affairs with customers or within hearing distance of customers;
  • Engages in courteous and respectful interactions with customers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates;
  • Promotes a professional image of the company and upholds company values.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate must have exceptional communication and listening skills, along with a passion for instruction. Other qualifications include:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED;
  • Must have a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) per FAR 65.71 and 65.73;
  • Must have five years’ experience working on Cessna 207A, 208B aircraft with PA31-350 and BE1900C experience;
  • Must have five years’ experience and skills associated with a training program in compliance with FAR 135.433 and the performance of Aviation Maintenance Training and OSHA requirements;
  • Must have a high-level of computer proficiency; 
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consider the impact to various business units;
  • Must be able to travel without restriction throughout Alaska, on small aircraft, working in variant climates and environments;
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule with overtime assigned when the operation dictates; 
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, maintaining focus and meeting deadlines;
  • Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS);
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen;
  • Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
