| Safran in Wolverhampton (formerly Collins Aerospace) are recruiting for Measurement Technicians. This is a 6 month contract , highly likely to be long-term/temp-perm. Please note all applicants must have Level 3 qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 - PLEASE ENQUIRE)
Shift Pattern (37 hours) /Pay rates:
Starting on Weekdays ( 22.87 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay 3.33 per hour/31.18 per hour Umbrella) Moving onto Earlies and Lates rotated weekly:(Please enquire)
Shift uplift: 26.18 per hour PAYE plus holiday - 3.81 per hour / 35.70 per hour Umbrella)
Earlies: Monday-Thursday 6am-1.15pm, 6am-1pm Friday - Lates: Monday-Thursday 1.15 -9pm, 1 -7pm Friday

Safran ‘Wolverhampton’ is looking to recruit a temporary measurement and inspection technician for the Next Generation Bevel Gear manufacturing area. This is a brand-new state of the art facility with significant investment in equipment and facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the measurement and inspection of gears at production volumes, working closely with the Operations Quality Focal and Manufacture Engineering team, to disposition and release parts.
Shift working and some overtime may be required.
Full training and support will be given.
Your Responsibilities:
Verification of Quality Assured Product including:
• Basic measurement techniques and Hand Gauging.
• Working to control plans, route cards, work instructions and drawings.
• Works Order completion and stamping.
• Visual inspection and verification of conformance to product standards.
• Quality compliance.
• Gateway inspection for Quality checklists or alerts.
Confirming adherence to the relevant quality procedures and requirements.
Keeping records and entering results into a bespoke software application.
Part cleaning and protection.
Declaring any non-conformances, working with quality to disposition parts.
Other duties as required to support the operational team.
Experience and Skills
3 Years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic knowledge of inspection tools and equipment.
Metrology experience would be beneficial (not essential).
Conscientious with attention to detail.
Willing to work under own initiative with good throughput levels.
PC literacy – with capability to perform basic transactional / MRP duties.
