Security Coordinator
Job Description
GlobalX will utilize Security Coordinators (SCs) to manage the day-to-day security-related operations. The primary function of the SCs will be to maintain compliance with the Security Program(s), the Company Security Policy Manual, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and US and foreign regulatory authorities’ regulations by ensuring the security measures and procedures are working effectively.
Job Responsibilities
The GSC’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Assist in managing day-to-day airline security operations to prevent or deter aircraft hijacking,
sabotage, and related criminal acts.
2. Conduct Security-related performance analysis, including tracking delays and cancellations.
3. Initiate special security measures during periods or instances of increased threat.
4. Ensures airline complies with U.S. Customs & Border Protection & TSA regulations while on
duty.
5. Create and crew flights in Airline Choice.
6. Collect and transmit SFPD to TSA for each passenger and non-traveling individual using Airline
Choice.
7. Monitors Secure Flight results and resolves any Inhibited errors or discrepancies.
8. Import passenger and crew Manifest for all created flights in Airline Choice.
9. Transmits APIS data to the U.S. Customs.
10. Request Screener and GSC training records.
11. For international flights, the Security Coordinators act as Secure Flight Coordinators and are
responsible for contacting TSA for all inhibited and no-fly list passengers and will resolve any
issues with the appropriate authorities.
12. Responsible for communication with the GSCs 4-2 hours before the flight’s scheduled departure time to ensure GSC has all necessary paperwork, including passenger manifest, and the screening team is at the correct airport and FBO or screening location.
14. Ensure Public Charter manifests are imported into our Departure Control System (DCS) and pre-vetted 72 hours before the scheduled departure time.
15. Ensure Private Charter manifests are imported into our DCS and pre-vetted 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
16. Run limited screening and IBS passenger manifest for qualifying flights.
17. Help maintain liaison with all departments to ensure maximum compliance with the security program.
18. Monitor emails, Teams, and WhatsApp chats and promptly respond to any requests to the security department.
19. Provide support to the Security Department as required by the Manager of Security
GSC Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States.
- Must undergo and pass a 10-year fingerprint-based criminal history records background check.
- Must undergo and satisfactorily pass an FAA Drug and Alcohol test for safety-sensitive positions.
- SCs will be enrolled in the company’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Random Testing Pool. They may be randomly selected for testing before, during, or after performing duties.
- SCs shall be able to read, speak, and write English well enough to:
- Carry out written and oral instructions regarding the proper performance of duties.
- Read English language identification media, credentials, passenger manifests, boarding passes, and labels on items normally encountered during flight processing operations;
- Provide direction to and understand and answer questions from English-speaking individuals; and
- Write incident reports and statements and log entries into security records in English.
- CSs shall have satisfactorily completed all initial, recurrent, and appropriate specialized training required by the company’s TSA-approved security program and job function.
- Willing to work according to the following schedule: 10:00 pm - 6:00 Am, 5 days a week
Work Environment
The Security Coordinator role operates in a fast-paced, safety- and security-sensitive airline environment. Duties may be performed in both office settings and airport operational areas, including secure facilities, ramp areas, and passenger screening locations. The position requires frequent communication and coordination with multiple departments, external agencies, and regulatory authorities.
Location and Work Schedule
Security Coordinators are based at our Miami base. The position is full-time, working 40 hours per week in 8-hour shifts, five days per week with two days off.
Schedules may include nights, weekends, and holidays, and are subject to change based on operational needs. Flexibility is required to support flight schedules, regulatory requirements, and security-related events.
