Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a battalion level motor vehicle mechanic in the Fort Moore, Georgia area. Essential duties include:

Maintenance at the organizational (-20) and intermediate (-30/40) levels as required IAW applicable TMs within 2 weeks of the due date

-Complete repairs within 3 days of requirement being identified

-Perform scheduled and routine unscheduled vehicle maintenance at the unit site

-Replace worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; welding, sheet metal
and/or fiberglass repair; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition system IAW OEM and/or applicable TMs.

-May control the issue and return of vehicles from personnel at the unit site IAW the site’s applicable regulations for release and return of vehicles.

-Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow
prescribed safety regulations

-Perform shipping and receiving duties

-May assist in picking-up and deliveries of parts and paperwork in a government vehicle

-Report defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
-At least 3 yrs. experience in Maintenance Field

-Be familiar with AR 25-50 and be able to write
correspondence in a military format, when
necessary.

-Be able to operate a standalone computer
without assistance and be proficient in the use of
Microsoft Office applications.

-Possess a valid, unencumbered state driver’s
license.

-Maintain files in accordance with applicable
Army, Navy, and Department of Defense (DoD)
regulations.

-Possess excellent work ethic, verbal and written
communication skills, and be detailed and
accurate in performing all functions.

- High School Diploma or GED

-Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more,
bend, sit, stand, reach and move about the
facility

Ability to obtain a secret clearance therefore
candidate must be a US citizen.
Desired Skills:
Be familiar with basic maintenance support for Army Common Vehicles, generators, and other power-driven equipment

-Ability to read/understand Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical manuals (TMs)

-Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose engine, transmission and electrical systems on assigned equipment to determine required repairs IAW applicable TMs

-Repair tire and wheel assemblies IAW applicable TMs

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
