Corporate Safety

Our Corporate Safety department implements medical programs and workers compensation and helps employees dealing with lost time to injury. They also conduct fight safety investigations and educate pilots on potential safety threats and more. The emergency response team falls under this department as well.

Job overview and responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinates the actions of medical control and occupational health in the companys units
  • Establishes relationship with the consultancies in occupational medicine that are partners of the organization
  • Elaborates and implements programs and procedures related to the several legal requirements of Occupational Health applicable to the business
  • Develop specific studies in the acting area, as well as to issue specialized opinions in occupational health, evaluations of the labor condition, expertise, audits, and medical syndicates
  • This job position is required by Brazilian labor legislation as a result of the United’s growth
  • Coordinate the actions of medical control and occupational health in the companys units, establishing partnerships within and outside the organization, aiming at health protection, promotion of life quality and continuous improvement of processes
  • Establish a close and continuous relationship with the organizations occupational medicine consultant partners, promoting the improvement of the processes, in line with the companys objectives
  • Elaborate and implement programs and procedures related to the several legal requirements of Occupational Health applicable to the business, by defining strategies and implementation methods following corporate parameters and those of the OH&S Management BRA, maintaining compliance and identifying discrepancies with local legislation and corporate policies
  • Develop specific studies in the acting area, as well as to issue specialized opinions in occupational health, evaluations of the labor condition, expertise, audits, and medical syndicates
  • Analyze work methods and workplaces and their relation to possible factors causing pathologies, as well as create key performance indicators and analyze their trends to define and develop guidelines and standards, establishing priorities in order to reduce work-related illnesses and pathologies
  • Perform critical analysis and validate medical certificates, exams, reports, and other external medical documents, registering in the system or in medical records, when applicable
  • Perform general medical care in the organizations daily routine, verifying the need for complementary exams, aiming to monitor the employees health, identifying, and preventing health problems, as well as
  • Promote and carry out trainings, campaigns, lectures, and other health promotion actions, to strengthen the knowledge and awareness of the workforce around healthy practices and habits

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree
  • Bachelors degree in Medicine with Specialization degree in Occupational Medicine
  • CRM (Conselho Regional de Medicina) registration to work in the state of Rio de Janeiro
  • RQE registration as an Occupational Doctor
  • 4+ years of experience as an Occupational Doctor
  • Knowledge of medical control and occupational health
  • Ability to deal with occupational medicine consultancy
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Masters degree
  • 2+ years of experience as an Occupational Doctor in industrial environment or consultancy
