We are currently recruiting due to a retirement for an Occupational Health Advisor to join an experienced team of 9 onsite in Airbus’s Broughton manufacturing site.
You’ll be used to working as part of a collaborative team based environment and will support both employees but also the wider business through case management and capability assessments.
Based on your professional background as an NMC registered Nurse you’ll utilise this training within an industrial setting, supporting investigations and managing potential work related disease/disorders.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Within your role you will be providing advice to both employees and the wider business. This will be completed through case management; such as functional capability assessments and fitness to work reports.
Health surveillance: Support the investigation and management of potential work-related disease / disorders. Initial referrals will be through the health surveillance programme, the routine health surveillance is performed by the Clinical Nurse Advisors.
Production and maintenance of confidential medical records. Adhering to the standards as defined by the NMC and the internal policies and procedures.
Support the OH management and admin team, contribute in the running of the department, and take an active informed interest in development of policies, procedures and internal projects, deputise for the Clinical Manager when unavailable
To respond to an injured / unwell employee in line with departmental policies.
ABOUT YOU
Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration
Qualification in Occupational Health – either working towards or holding a current qualification
Industrial Audiometry/Spirometry certificate and other specialist skills
Experience working in an industrial setting/manufacturing environment
