From conducting flight safety investigations and educating pilots on potential safety threats to implementing medical programs and helping prevent employee injuries, our team is instrumental in running a safe and successful airline for our customers and employees.

Our Corporate Safety department implements medical programs and workers compensation and helps employees dealing with lost time to injury. They also conduct fight safety investigations and educate pilots on potential safety threats and more. The emergency response team falls under this department as well.
Job overview and responsibilities
This professional acts as the link between field operations and the occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS), aiming to comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) plans, programs and procedures, interacting with the frontline employees and operational leaders of each department seeking compliance with the requirements.
· Participate in the implementation of all local OHS programs and procedures, facilitating departmental compliance. Monitor all company activities daily and work together to comply with requirements. Identify and report OHS non-conformities to the SESMT Coordinator and divisional leadership.
· Collaborate with studies of occupational risks within the organizations work processes and environments, in accident investigations and in the implementation of risk control measures; Perform the organizations daily OHS services, maintaining compliance and identifying discrepancies with established procedures, local legislation and corporate policies
· Develop and carry out training, campaigns, lectures and other daily actions to strengthen the knowledge and awareness of the workforce around the procedures and disseminate preventive practices; Conduct periodic inspections and monitor corrective action plans and opportunities for improvement; Mentoring the Internal Accident Prevention Committee (CIPA), as well as participating in other committees and groups related to OHS
Supervise the work of the Fire Brigade, as well as conduct drills and other activities related to the companys emergency resources. Support other departments in demands related to waste management, environmental licenses, environmental bodies of public spheres and airport authorities.
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)· High School diploma or equivalent
· Occupational Safety Technician diploma
· Driver license category B or above
· Solid knowledge of OHS legislation, with 5 years of work experience
· Active registration with the MTE, to integrate SESMT as an Occupational Safety Technician
· Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship
· Must be fluent in English and Portuguese] (written and spoken)
· Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
· Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):- Educational background or work experience in the environmental area
- Significant experience in the management of NR35 and NR33
- Good knowledge and work experience in OHS, preferable in air transport business line
