Position SummaryThe position is to ensure day to day operation functions in MABKargo, Special Product Handling – Animal Hotel, operations functions are smoothly handled and compliance with the handling requirements / regulations and meeting the customer service agreement.
Key Accountability- Serve customers at the Animal Hotel by performing acceptance, delivery, and warehouse functions in compliance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, IATA Live Animals Regulations, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (MAQIS), Customs, Wildlife, Convention of International Trade in Endangered species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
- Execute daily operational activities for Live Animals Handling, including physical cargo handling, documentation, system data updates, and daily revenue collection.
- Ensure adherence to agreed Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain high standards of service quality.
- Monitor daily vendor performance and prepare operational summary reports to support performance tracking and continuous improvement.
- Support and implement planned improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
- Work on a shift basis to support 24/7 warehouse operations, ensuring continuous and efficient handling of live animal shipments.
Qualification & Working Experience- Minimum SPM / Diploma in Animal Science, Veterinary Services, Animal Care, Pet Grooming, Aviation Management or related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with no experience may be considered for junior or entry-level positions.
- Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in pet boarding, veterinary clinics, pet grooming, animal shelters, or animal care services is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience may be required for senior positions or supervisory roles.
Areas of Experience- Basic logistics and warehouse knowledge
- IT literacy
Personality Traits- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning, feeding, lifting pet supplies, and handling active animals.
- Basic knowledge of animal behaviour, hygiene, feeding, and health monitoring.
- Ability to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Knowledge of pet safety and emergency handling is an advantage.
- Possession of a driving licence may be an added advantage depending on operational needs.
