JOB DESCRIPTION:
YOUR ROLE AS AN OFFICER, IN-FLIGHT DRIVER
As an In-Flight Officer, you are responsible for the safe, efficient, and on-time delivery and collection of in-flight carts and standard units between the warehouse/FOB and aircraft according to the Hi-Lift schedule. You play a vital role in ensuring that all catering and duty-free amenities are delivered intact and that aircraft are properly replenished before departure.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Safely and efficiently deliver and collect all in-flight carts from the warehouse/FOB to aircraft and vice versa according to the Hi-Lift schedule.
Immediately return all used or empty carts to the warehouse after each flight.
Ensure the loading bay/FOB sliding door is closed after loading/unloading and that the area is cleared of leftovers.
Collect all duty-free carts and pre-book MCDS as scheduled and return them promptly to the duty-free bonded store (FOB).
Collect sufficient replacement amenities from the warehouse and replenish aircraft galleys during AM loading, AM transit, crew changes, PM transit, and night stops.
Securely store amenities in designated bins or boxes inside the hi-lift van body.
Apply brakes and secure all carts with safety harnesses inside the hi-lift without fail.
Arrange carts inside the hi-lift for proper weight distribution and avoid overloading.
Check that no defective cart (e.g., brake issues, major dents, lock defects) is loaded.
Immediately report any incidents or operational issues to the Duty Executive on duty.
WHO YOU ARE:
At least a high school graduate; vocational or technical training is a plus.
Holder of a valid professional driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience driving commercial or heavy vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, or similar).
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Strong awareness of safety protocols and weight-load distribution.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and operate hi-lift vehicles.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
