ABOUT US
Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a De Havilland Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Are you passionate about logistics, organization, and supplier relations? Then this position is for you! As a buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring that operations run smoothly. You will be at the heart of the action, ensuring the efficient and strategic procurement of items that are essential to our activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage purchases of office supplies, clothing, and other items necessary for operations;
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers;
- Validate order requirements and specifications;
- Ensure rigorous tracking of orders and deliveries;
- Control and optimize inventory;
- Update purchasing-related databases;
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet operational needs;
- Perform any other related tasks to support operations.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- High school diploma. College or university education in supply chain management, logistics, administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Experience in a similar role is strongly desired.
- Ability to collaborate in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.
- Facility to work independently and innovatively.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage priorities with rigor.
- Ability to lift loads of up to 50 lb, as required by operational needs.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, enabling you to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as computerized purchasing systems.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
COMPENSATION
- Salary and benefits are determined in accordance with the corporate policy.
- Entry hourly salary - $21.76
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Location – Air Inuit Technical Center – Montreal-Trudeau Airport
- Work week of 37.5 hours (modified work weeks are available to help our employees balance work and personal life)
