Job Description:

Profile:

The 8-month Intern, Price and Offerability reports to the Manager, Product Change and Development but will liaise with internal departments in the areas of manufacturing, operations, engineering, technical Services, IT, HR and finance and participate in required meetings.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work within ERP system to build business cases for product changes and options requests by customer using approved template
  • Write offerability statements for customers using approved templates
  • Build project charter pages for handoff from pricing team to product change management team using approved charter templates
  • Attend weekly cost and offerability meetings and assist in capturing requirements and action items following meetings and sending out to all participants
  • Ensure application of professional standards and company processes are followed in accomplishing program activities
  • Always represent De Havilland in a professional and courteous manner in every communication with all internal and external stakeholders

 

Education & Experience:

  • A combination of education and experience in aerospace, project management and/or manufacturing will be considered
  • Completing an undergraduate degree in engineering, business, project management, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience (e.g.: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Assembler, etc.) considered an asset

 

Skills:

  • Basic to intermediary knowledge in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Team oriented and works well in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to manage and act on multiple projects and priorities at one time
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Capability to maintain steady control and calm when facing challenges
  • Metrics-focused
  • Critical thinker who can navigate complex, unclear situations

 

Work Location & Conditions of Employment:

  • Candidate will be required to live in Calgary, Alberta
  • Candidate will be required to work in the office full time in a collaborative, and innovative environment
