Key Responsibilities:

A Principal Recruiter is an authority in recruiting and sourcing highly qualified people. A Principal Recruiter acts as a consultant to the Digital Technology business, leading the recruitment processes from end-to-end. A Principal recruiter is a recruitment expert that can handle complex clients and offers with little supervision. Using data, Principal Recruiters develop and implement recruitment strategies that are specific to each role, delivering a pipeline of high-quality diverse group of candidates. Principal recruiters will be aligned to our most exciting and sophisticated clients given their level of expertise.

  • Attract and source talent for United’s most critical and complex Digital Technology Roles or sophisticated/specialty roles
  • Conduct detailed interviews and assessments of talent to find alignment between their skills and our key business problems
  • Partners with hiring leaders and HR partners to create sourcing strategies aimed at developing the strongest, diverse candidate pool for open roles across the assigned group
  • Partner with external organizations to create and maintain talent pipeline
  • Consistently works with a process improvement orientation
  • Provides value to TA members by recommending and implementing process opportunities
  • Provides organizational change around process enhancements
  • Stays abreast on new recruitment trends and technologies and brings back learning to the team
  • Educates recruiters and hiring managers on candidate attraction and sourcing opportunities
  • Uses data to advise recruitment decisions and provides guidance to partners around candidate management
  • Exert executive presence when supporting leadership with recruitment decisions, such as when advocating for a candidate

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of corporate recruitment experience
  • Proven experience driving process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a consultant, make data driven talent recommendations and develop and implement recruitment strategies
  • Ability to engage relevantly with candidates, ensuring a high touch candidate experience
  • Master level sourcing capabilities: ability to engage in significant candidate outreach
  • Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
  • Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and ability to establish relationships with all levels of personnel
  • Strategic and forward-thinking
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed
  • Intermediate to advanced digital literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and databases
  • Solid knowledge of social media and demonstrated usage of tools such as LinkedIn
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Ability to build solid relationships and work in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly assess candidate’s skills/qualifications and attributes and make placements/recommendations as appropriate
  • Ability to coach and counsel internal and external candidates on career development
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to coach and counsel other recruiters on standard methodologies and recruiting processes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage and lead special projects, in addition to typical recruiting workload
  • Ability recruiting hard-to-fill positions applying various sourcing methods
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 10 of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Salary Range: $91,800 - $134,640
