Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician - Weekday Nights, Reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, the Process Technician - S-Nickel will be involved in the electroless nickel plating of aircraft components.

Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario - Canada

Shift Hours – Weekday Nights – Monday - Thursday (8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)

What You Will Do:

• S-Nickel plating and masking of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques

• Part fixturing, loading and unloading

• Tank/chemistry maintenance and associated tooling

• Act as a cross functional team member and support various processes as requested

• Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)

• Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts

• Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures

• Use overhead cranes to move parts

• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications We Require:

• Typically, High school diploma, with 1 – 3 years previous process chemistry background.

• Candidate will be expected to wear appropriate PPE

• The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Plating experience

• Sound working knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers and Elco meters

• Experience in reading and interpret blueprints and work with various hand tools

• Strong understanding of WHMIS

• ​Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee

• Verbal and written communication skills (English)
