UnspecifiedCollins Aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician - Weekday Nights, Reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, the Process Technician - S-Nickel will be involved in the electroless nickel plating of aircraft components.
Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario - Canada
Shift Hours – Weekday Nights – Monday - Thursday (8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)
What You Will Do:
S-Nickel plating and masking of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques
Part fixturing, loading and unloading
Tank/chemistry maintenance and associated tooling
Act as a cross functional team member and support various processes as requested
Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Use overhead cranes to move parts
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications We Require:
Typically, High school diploma, with 1 – 3 years previous process chemistry background.
Candidate will be expected to wear appropriate PPE
The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
Qualifications We Prefer:
Plating experience
Sound working knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers and Elco meters
Experience in reading and interpret blueprints and work with various hand tools
Strong understanding of WHMIS
Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee
Verbal and written communication skills (English)
