DescriptionJob overview and responsibilities
Product Owner - IT holds a central position in each of the product/application development cycle with an in depth working knowledge of Airlines operations. A key strategist in developing functionality, based on full understanding of specific business functions, considering all of the associated business & technical dependencies involved.
Excellent communicator with outstanding analytical skills to collaborate with business users, technology teams and leadership in an Agile environment.
Drives agile development & testing teams by creating detailed requirements in the form of user stories from inception to delivery. Builds vision and create roadmaps, based on business priorities, track and manage progress of the product deliverables. High-level knowledge of the system design architecture to facilitate discussions needed for systematic updates to technical components, that deliver key functionalities to the user. Has a deep knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and processes.
Translates high level business requirements into detailed requirements (user stories) to be consumed by development pods in each sprint, while ensuring stories and features are added iteratively to the product to add overall value
Manages a story backlog to ensure readiness of user stories for the upcoming sprint and Creates acceptance criteria that is clear, concise and actionable
Contributes to overall definition of strategy and scope, including working with business stakeholders to understand ‘why’ we are working on something before development begins.
Works with Product Owners to ensure that business requirements are translated into accurate, actionable user stories
Works with User Experience (UX) analysts to ensure prototypes convey story intent
Works with Dev and QA to understand the boundaries of any given story
Identifies opportunities for improvement across product, process and team
Analyzes data to ensure features are aligned with product goals/objectives and delivering the most business value
Provide project support during release and implementation periods
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant filed is required
4+ years digital experience required
2-3 Agile/Scrum experience preferred
2-3 years in business analyst role preferred
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of:
o SDLC processes, inputs/outputs
o Agile & Scrum practices
o Business/System requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization required
Able to Work with distributed teams (on shore and off) required
Ability to understand, communicate and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and interactions
Strong problem-solving, listening, written and verbal communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Certifications are plus
Prior Experience in Airport Operations and an understanding of how United Operations work
The base pay range for this role is $112,480.00 to $146,540.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
