We are searching for a dynamic and motivated Production Technician to join our team at our Bloomfield, Connecticut location. First shift hours are 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday, as business needs currently dictate one hour of mandatory daily overtime.

Position Summary:
Ensure that all customer orders meet customer, productivity, and quality requirements. Provide support to production and manufacturing engineers as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Create/revise shop orders, including all information to meet customer requirements. Create product structures. Develop/implement routings and plan for materials.
- Plan materials for production schedule. Purchase material. Coordinate outside processes.
- Maintain label database.
- Provide limited editing of production drawings using Computer Aided Design programs to meet production expectations of process improvements, productivity, and quality and customer requirements.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
- Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
- Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience with up to 3 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read basic drawings/blueprints.
- Proficient computer skills with solid MS office suite knowledge and exposure to CAD software.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical thinking.
- Strong time management skills with ability to organize, and plan.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills driving results.
- Ability to communicate (verbal, written and listening) with a strong customer focus mindset.
- Self-starter with ability to work in a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting at a computer workstation and grasping a mouse
- Frequent mental and visual attention
- Occasional (15-40) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional bending and twisting
