Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for Propulsion Validation & Verification leader (All Gender) to join The Propulsion End to End Validation and Verification team in Airbus  based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing The Propulsion End to End Validation and Verification. As part of the team you will be willing to contribute to the development and verification of the Propulsion of Tomorrow technologies.

Your challenges:

  • Participate in the evaluation of the Technology Readiness reviews.

  • Support the cascade of aircraft requirements to the propulsion system and sub-systems.

  • Definition of a robust Validation and Verification plan and strategy for new and incremental developments.

  • Identification of potential design maturity risks through critical design reviews and past experience.

  • Integrated test strategy with engine and nacelle manufacturers, including the negotiation of the instrumentation needs and the delivery of test support hardware.

  • Critical assessment of Engine Development Plan robustness (including ‘What-if’ scenarios) and its ability to identify design shortfalls.

  • Coordinate Flight Test requests from the various disciplines and flight test clearance activities.

  • Coordinate the execution and formalisation of the Validation and Verification activities for the entire Propulsion Engineering, including those led by the external suppliers.

  • Use of test data analysis for earlier identification of service reliability threats.

  • Capitalise new learnings from service and development to eradicate recurring issues.

You would be joining a highly dynamic and passionate team that combines young and experienced engineers with a variety of skills and a strong customer focus. We are involved in each stage of the product life cycle: from the identification of Technology Readiness requirements, all the way through the evaluation of design risks and the testing and verification of the product compliance. We also continue to monitor the Operational maturity of the product in service to feedback any learnings to the future programmes.

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the rest of engineering disciplines, customer support, programme and flight test teams. You will also work closely with the Engine and Nacelle Manufacturers. 

Your boarding pass:

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and competencies: 

  • You are a graduated with at least 5 years experience in the propulsion field.

  • You have experience on propulsion system testing.

  • Team player.

  • Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • High degree of initiative, credibility, independence and personal integrity.

  • Languages: Negotiation level of English.

The following skills and competencies are considered as a strong advantage:

  • Systems engineering knowledge with experience on the deployment of validation and verification activities.

  • Experience in technical risk management and system reliability assessments.

  • Experience on product support in service.
