On-site in Huntsville, AL
Radar operator to work with our radar operations team supporting modeling, simulation and test of a radar developed for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on radar operations during simulation and test events as well as assist with system maintenance activities
- Coordinate daily with the Program Manager and Test Event Lead for tasking and problem resolution
- Support modeling, simulation, and test activities for radar systems developed for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
- Interact daily with analysts, engineers, and other technical team members to support test execution and operations
- Interface with MDA customers to support operational needs and test activities
- Assist with deployment to operational sites in support of distributed and flight tests
- Support development of operational procedures for radar systems and test events
- Participate in MDA ground tests utilizing Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) radar representations and/or fielded radar systems
- Contribute to system readiness by assisting with maintenance and troubleshooting activities
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawActive Secret Clearance required
- Associate’s Degree or Vocational Certification in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience operating missile defense radar systems
- Experience supporting MDA radar programs, ground testing, or flight test events
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office Suite
