Repair Technician
Job Description
As a Repair Technician, you will perform skilled technical work involving the diagnosis, replacement, repair, and rebuilding of oxygen tanks and systems for aircraft. You will utilize diagnostic equipment and a variety of trade-specific tools, applying principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory. Your role will involve interpreting and following technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics while applying your knowledge of equipment design and function. You will adhere to industry and government-specific guidelines, particularly those related to safety, health, and environmental practices.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, replace, repair, and rebuild oxygen tanks and systems for aircraft.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and a variety of trade-specific tools.
- Interpret and follow technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics.
- Apply principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory.
- Follow industry and government-specific safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
- Assist with the research and development of new repair capabilities.
- Read and understand new manuals and participate in on and off-site training.
- Maintain shop equipment and supplies.
- Make computer entries and complete maintenance documents such as Service Reports and 8130-3s in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
Essential Skills
- Proficient use of hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in assembly, repair, and production.
- Ability to perform component repair.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with cylinder/regulator systems, high-pressure tanks, and oxygen masks.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and repair station operations.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
