JOB SUMMARY:
To build a wide variety of electrical tools, functional test devices and special equipment. May be required to work under the guidance of higher grade operators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Under close guidance of Grade A, works from preliminary experimental and engineering information, schematic drawings, aircraft orders, sketches and assembly blueprints to determine requirements of tools used for fabrication of production aircraft. Develops work using similar solutions or shop practices for general guidance in absence of design and specification.
II. Under close guidance of Grade A, lays out electrical circuits, wire routing and requirements for component tooling. Develops fabrication sequences and select proper materials to complete work according to design requirement.
III. Modifies existing electrical tools, fixtures, functional test devices and special equipment. Keeps records of modification work performed as required. Works with Inspection, Engineering, Experimental and Production department employees to determine requirements for developing.
IV. Uses a wide variety of electronic test equipment and hand tools; such as, volt-ohmmeters, wrenches, pliers, screw drivers and drill motors.
V. Assists in troubleshooting manufacturing issues in automation cells and recommend improvements as needed to meet all specified goals.
VI. Assists in build of final automation revision based upon tool function and best shop practices and experience.
VII. Responsible only for own work.
VIII. Performs other related duties as required.
