Job Summary

ACAA’s Security Coordinator will report to the Airport Access/ID Office Supervisor, and directly interacts with PIT stakeholders and customers to process various security-related background checks, including fingerprinting and issuance of employee identification media. The incumbent will also ensure that associated transactions, customer experience, and airport access control programs are compliant with the Airport Security Program (ASP), Authority policies, and related Transportation Security Regulations.

 

Here is how the Security Coordinator will help:     

  • Assist with daily Airport ID Badge Office activities in compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations, TSA-approved Airport Security Program, and ACAA policies and guidelines.
  • Administer training, testing, fingerprinting, and/or badging for airline, tenant, ACAA, or other employees who require access to secured areas, driving on the Air Operations Area (AOA), or others; ensure protection of personal information from unauthorized use.
  • Coordinate locks, keys, or cores installation, and coordinate repairs with commercial locksmiths and carpenters.
  • Contact applicable law enforcement and government agencies to follow up on questions or concerns about individual background checks as necessary; utilize RAP Back procedures.
  • Perform extensive data entry in security systems, billing, and computer programs.
  • Maintain records of applications, renewal forms, key or door requests, fee collections, security liaisons, vehicles, escort, sterile area passes, and all training records.
  • Coordinate and conduct periodic ‘security non-compliance’ inspections of Authority tenants and test employees&39; adherence to SIDA rules and regulations.
  • Conduct mandated audits of issued badges and/or AOA access keys with tenants, airlines, and contractors.
  • Assess, bill, and collect fees for fingerprinting, late/lost ID’s, vehicle passes, damaged proximity cards, etc.
  • Assist with access control processes and procedures such as door assignments, surveillance, badge status, etc.
  • Provide assistance and/or training to airport Authorized Signatories and tenants/contractors, as needed.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing airport administrative objectives and operational security policies.
  • Coordinate CCTV footage release and properly document under the direction of the Manager, Airport Security, or Security Compliance Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

The following requirements list the minimum education/training/experience required to qualify for this job. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

Preferred requirements to apply for role of Security Coordinator are:

  • Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Aviation Management or a related field. 
  • One year of related experience.
  • Possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid driver’s license. Note: License must be maintained throughout employment

 

We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:  

  • Considerable ability to learn and operate digital systems, to be detail oriented, and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Considerable ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all rules and regulations pertaining to safeguarding Sensitive Security Information (SSI).
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Ability to maintain adequate filing system.
  • Ability to quickly learn and be proficient in the use of the ACAA’s proprietary security and learning management systems.
  • General knowledge of the Airport Security Program (ASP) and Federal Security Regulations.
  • Ability to serve the public and fellow employees with honesty and integrity in full accord with the letter and spirit of the Authority&39;s Ethics Policy.
