Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as a Security Representative with responsibility for security support of classified and unclassified areas of Program located at Kirtland AFB, NM.

  • Develop, administer and audit security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified or proprietary materials, documents, and export controlled data.

  • Control access to USAF facilities, maintain access control system and Intrusion Detection System and alarms, produces/issues access badges, ensure proper escort of uncleared visitors.

  • Provide visitor control, badging and Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) administration.

  • Perform all aspects of security to include industrial, information, personnel and physical; CAC card processing and classification management.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for industrial, information, personnel, physical, and communications and operations security.

  • Provide customer support for DoD, USAF, contractor and other visitors to the site. Conduct security briefings to employees, military personnel and visitors.

  • Assist with investigating security violations and preparing reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

  • Prepare for internal audits and AF inspections to include self-assessments.

  • Coordinate with customers and other government representatives on security issues/actions.

  • Maintain security training, key/combination control and changes. Process classified and unclassified mail deliveries.

  • Coordinate with other security team members on issues relative to; handling classified, visit requests, and data management. In/out processing of contract personnel; coordinating employee clearances with CAE Security Operations Office.

  • Assist personnel with SF86 clearance processing and fingerprinting.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well with all level of internal/external management and fellow team members

  • Min 1-3 yearsu2019 experience in customer service

  • Previous experience in speaking in small group settings

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime and to respond after hours, weekends, and holidays as required

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of related DoD security policies including DoDM 5200.01 and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)

  • Familiarization with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)

  • Prior experience working in on a military installation and/or working in the defense contracting sector

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
