Role Summary
As a Security Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced electronic security systems for commercial clients. From surveillance and access control to intrusion detection and paging systems, your work will directly impact the safety, security, and operational continuity of the organizations we serve.
This is a dynamic role requiring technical expertise, flexibility, and a commitment to excellence.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Install and terminate structured cabling to industry standards
Mount and wire cameras, motion sensors, keypads, control panels, and related devices
Install and configure Axis IP Cameras
Install Algo IP paging horns and speakers
Install access control components including electric strikes, card readers, motion detectors, and door contacts
Program and configure IP-based security and intrusion detection systems
Test and certify cabling using a Fluke Cat6A tester
Troubleshoot issues such as false alarms, low battery alerts, wiring faults, and connectivity problems
Train end-users on proper system operation
Provide troubleshooting support and occasional after-hours emergency service
Ensure all installations meet safety codes and compliance standards
Maintain accurate, organized documentation
Travel to project sites as needed, including potential out-of-town assignments (hotel provided and $45 per day per diem)
Adapt to varying start times depending on job site and project schedule
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of experience as a Security Technician
Strong background in structured cabling installation and termination
Experience troubleshooting electronic security systems
Proficiency using a Fluke Cat6A tester
Experience installing Axis IP Cameras and IP-based paging systems
Hands-on access control installation experience (electric strikes, card readers, motion detectors, door contacts)
Solid understanding of wiring, electrical fundamentals, and low-voltage systems
Ability to work flexible hours and travel when required
Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial security installations
Familiarity with intrusion detection software configuration
Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards
Strong documentation and compliance awareness

Pay Details: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour
