Southwest United Industries Tulsa operates from a 100,000 square feet modern and well-maintained facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Former headquarters for Southwest United Industries (prior to acquisition), the site offers single source metal finishing for newly manufactured parts and for repair and overhaul applications.

Essential Responsibilities include (other duties may be assigned):

1. Receive, shipment, and inspect shipments for damage. Count shipment quantities for verification. Document discrepancies and initial/date proper paperwork.

2. Photograph pieces and attach photo to yellow copy of invoice. When necessary, add dimensions to photo on pieces too large to fit on receiving table that shows 1” grid lines.

2. Transfer shipments throughout the plant to the appropriate department or individual.

3. Verify shipment quantities in preparation for shipping. Wrap and package shipments properly to protect prior to shipping.

4. May be required to drive the company truck/van to deliver or retrieve orders.

5. Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout department and work facility

6. Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements

Familiarity with and have ability to use a two-wheeler dolly, fork lift, chain pallet puller, pallet jack, slings, shipping scales and a variety of packing materials.

Operational computer skills

Good business math and reading skills.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge of UPS or Federal Express computer systems a plus.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Continuously required to move about the facility

Regular moderate lifting of parts and material

Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, odors and temperature variations

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection and safety shoes
