Shipping Coordinator/Specialist
Reports to: Inventory Control Supervisor
Department: Inventory Control
Pay Rate: $23 an hour
Job Summary: This position exists to package, coordinate, and ship product and miscellaneous materials to Bal Seal Engineering customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares outbound letters and packages for shipments
- Must have knowledge for international shipments (FedEx/ UPS / DHL)
- Works with sales for date and ship method changes
- Monitors shipments, tracks shipments, and works to resolve delayed and/or late shipments
- Schedules carrier pick-ups and maintains records of all outbound shipments
- Has the ability to work with customer portals to perform shipments
- Works with finance on credit holds
- Works with Carriers for special shipping requirements DHL / SkynetPerform other related duties as assigned
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 1-year experience in shipping and receiving positions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to function accurately in a high-paced environment
- Ability to effectively operate a computer
- Strong math aptitude
- Must be able to communicate (speak, write and read) in English
