Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Shop ForemanJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Diesel Mechanic Shop Foreman at our newly established shop at MCO airport. We are seeking an experienced leader with over 7 years of expertise in a diesel shop or ground support equipment environment. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of skilled mechanics, ensuring efficient operations and maintenance of ground support equipment.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee a team consisting of 1 lead and 9 GSE mechanics.
- Schedule work and manage daily operations within the shop.
- Order parts and assist with repairs of ground support equipment.
- Set up and organize the shop from the ground up, including ordering tooling.
- Manage employee performance, conduct evaluations, and performance reviews.
- Prepare month-end reports, providing financials and monthly projections to the area manager.
- Be available to take calls on weekends and after hours for equipment-related situations.
Essential Skills- 7+ years of leadership experience in a diesel shop or ground support equipment shop.
- Proficiency in diesel mechanics, ground support equipment, and management.
- Expertise in welding, repair, troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Thorough knowledge of conducting evaluations and performance reviews.
- Must be available to travel for initial training in either Boston or Newark.

Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 8-4 or 9-5. Initial training will be conducted in either Boston or Newark, with travel expenses covered by the company.
