Morson Edge is seeking skilled Fitters to support a prestigious aerospace programme based on the Isle of Wight. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team working on advanced aircraft structures within a professional, quality-led environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture main and sub-assemblies using approved tools, fixtures, and assembly methods
- Work on jig-controlled and non-jig-controlled aircraft assemblies
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, processes, and procedures
- Produce first-off production units to required standards
- Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly to a high standard
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and customer requirements
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or completed apprenticeship
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting or aerospace assembly
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Commitment to safety, quality, and engineering standards
- Flexibility to work shifts where required
Pay & Benefits
Core Day Shift:
- 18.03 per hour
- Weekday Overtime: 22.54
- Weekend Overtime: 27.05
Double Days:
- 22.54 per hour (subject to availability)
For Mainland Contractors:
- Accommodation allowance up to 1,400 gross per month (receipts required)
- Ferry reimbursement up to 100 per month (receipts required)
Working Pattern
Initial Day Shift:
- Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:30
- Friday: 07:45–12:45
Potential Move to Double Days:
- 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 weekly rotation
- Possible night shift requirement
