Morson Talent are currently looking for Skilled fitters for a client in Isle of White. Please see the details below:
To work on a range of aircraft main and sub assemblies to meet both regulatory standards and customer specifications.
Main Tasks:
- The manufacture of main and sub assemblies (Non-jig controlled and jig controlled) from detail parts using appropriate assembly techniques, tools and fixtures.
- To read and understand processes and procedures to meet all required quality standards.
- The production of 1st off Production Units.
- Work on Mechanical Assemblies
Standard Hours: 37 per week
Duration: Contract will be 12 months re ITAR – duration is 6 months review
Other working hours information: Day Shift 8am to 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 07.45 to 12.45 Fridays – could be shift work on Double Days On DD shift week one 06.00 to 14.00 and week two 14.00 to 22.00 – Rotates weekly. Also potential for night shift **I am waiting on confirmation for the hours for this**
Shift Pattern: Days to start however maybe required to work Double Days or Nights
Rate: Days: 17.91 with weekday overtime 22.39 and weekend overtime 26.87 Double Days: 22.39 with weekday overtime same rate 22.39 and weekend overtime 26.87
If mainland based, the following allowances also payable (to be claimed via expenses through Morsons, then invoiced to GKN):
- Accommodation allowance up to 1,400 gross per month (invoices/proof of payment required)
- Travel allowance: 1 ferry ticket per month (up to max 100) – dependent on time of travel (generally higher fares if booked at short notice) – receipts required
For this role, the client requires an NVQ level 3/ City & Guilds level 3 or apprenticeship certificates of the same
