Are you our new Social Media Advisor?

Ready for a 12 to 14-month journey? Were looking for a social media savvy communications advisor to take the reins of our channels. If you are skilled in digital storytelling and want to spend a year with a leading aviation group, this temporary role covering a maternity leave in our communications team could be the perfect route for you.

This role is based at our Fornebu headquarters and is responsible for leading and managing Norwegian and Widerøe’s social media presence, ensuring that brand and communication strategies are consistently executed across all relevant platforms. This role requires a strong blend of strategic insight and hands-on operational execution.

The role is a part of Norwegian Group’s international communication department, and you will work closely with colleagues handling internal communications, press, sustainability and public affairs.

Start date: Early June 2026 or as soon as possible

In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Lead planning and execution of organic social media activities, ensuring innovation, creativity, and inspiration.
    • Manage daily operations of organic social media content, including planning, production, publishing, monitoring, and community engagement.
    • Manage the social media ambassador network.
    • Produce and edit high-quality content (video and photo) for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
    • Advise senior management and spokespersons on social media opportunities, risks, and messaging.
    • Support the External Communications team and the Emergency Response Organisation’s crisis communications when required.
    • Coach and guide colleagues in effective content creation and digital engagement.
    • Work closely with Marketing and Customer Care units to ensure alignment with business strategy and consistent share of voice across content and channels.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:

    • Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or a similar relevant field.
    • 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably from the client side.
    • Fluent in Norwegian (oral and written). Strong command of English.
    • Proven ability to manage social media strategically, tactically, and operationally.
    • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, trends, and community/reputation management.
    • Demonstrable video and photo production/editing skills for social media.
    • Excellent editorial and storytelling skills, able to create engaging content tailored to different audiences and formats.
    • Skills in handling sensitive issues in social media.
    • Ability to work independently and with a hands-on approach.
