Job Description:
Under general supervision performs a wide variety of technical efforts including processes, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs on military electronic and electromechanical equipment. Performs various tasks using approved test procedures, schematics, verbal instructions, and personal knowledge. Performs electronic and mechanical testing utilizing various engineering drawings, manuals, related documentation, and personal knowledge to troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level. May assist in orienting, training, and checking the work of assemblers and other technicians. Individual will also collect, analyzes, and reports test data.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 4 Year Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuitry to component level. Applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures techniques and tools. Must possess ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics to troubleshoot moderately complex electronic or electromechanical assemblies. Required to test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies containing Analog, Digital, RF, and High Voltage circuits.
Effectively communicate technical issues by writing comprehensive failure reports which correlate failures to the associated test specification(s). Can also verbally articulate troubleshooting challenges to coworkers with varied electronic backgrounds.
Desired Skills:
Experience using a wide variety electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Power Meters. Possess a strong understanding of troubleshooting RF, Analog and Digital circuitry. Experienced in depot based electronic repair work.
Required Education:
Education: High School or equivalent. 2-year electronics/STEM degree or equivalent.
