We are seeking a curious and mission-driven Sr Vacuum Technician to join our Environments and Infrastructure team in Golden Valley, MN.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and Test complex vacuum systems
  • Interpret results and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Collaborate with others
  • Recommend improvements

U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 5+ years industry/military experience with manufacturing, maintaining, or testing vacuum systems
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain government security clearance

WE VALUE

We value candidates who may have one or more of the following skills: 

  • Associate of Science degree in a related STEM discipline (trade license in lieu of AA.)Associate in Applied Science Electronics Technology
  • Experience in building and maintaining vacuum or cryogenic systems
  • Understanding of chemical handling protocols, compressed gases, and liquid cryogens
  • Experience with chilled water systems and liquefied gas systems
  • Experience transitioning components and processes from research and development to manufacturing
  • Experience with leak checking
  • Experience with wiring assemblies
  • Experience with powder metallurgy, hydraulic press, and metal powder molds
