Position SummaryReporting to the Stores Manager, the Stores Purchaser is responsible for procuring parts and supplies for departments throughout Perimeter, maintaining inventory levels to meet Company demand.Personal CharacteristicsHighly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environmentProfessional and respectful, with a positive work attitudeTimely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essentialMotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communitiesKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesEnsure that supplies are purchased and delivered as necessaryEffectively communicate with co-workers and vendors via phone, e-mail and/or fax as necessaryMaintain an organized work areaEffectively co-ordinate with other purchasers for specific supplies and vendorsEffectively co-ordinate with shops and personnel for purchasing requirementsEnsure that all purchase orders are accurate and include all necessary informationMatch receiving reports to vendor invoices and forward to designated personnel for approval of paymentFile paperworkUse inventory management software to find, issue, receive and return parts and materialsConduct inventory counts, checks and adjustmentsPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Education, Experience and CertificationsHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentMust be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizationsKnowledge of Aircraft/Aviation parts considered an assetCustomer Service Experience considered an assetExperience with Inventory Management Software considered an asset (WinAir preferred)Working ConditionsPhysically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleVarious shifts at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airlineWork in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
