Position Summary
Locates and picks product to fill customer orders in all picking areas within the Distribution Center. Locates, gathers, and transports quantities of filter products throughout the distribution center and warehouse areas to fill customer orders. Operates powered equipment and assists in physical inventory counts as assigned
Responsibilities
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Picks orders according to bay locations, procuring correct quantity and type of filter. 2. Utilize pick labels, pick sheets and voice picking equipment as necessary to pick orders. 3. Replenishes inventory in bay locations manually or using appropriate material handling equipment. 4. Operates equipment as assigned, which may include tractor-trailers, trailer jacks, lift trucks, order pickers, SA’s, electric or manual pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, hand-held RF terminals, and radios. 5. Assists in physical inventory counts of finished goods as required. 6. Assists with loading or unloading export containers as required. 7. Processes priority shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.) as required. 8. Inspects cases of filters to ensure that damaged or otherwise defective cases are not shipped. Reports problems to department supervision immediately. 9. Responsible for meeting established unit production standards. 10. Completes department paperwork as required. 11. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control. 12. Responsible for observing safety rules at all times and reporting unsafe conditions to department supervision. 13. Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Eighth grade education and three months work experience in a warehouse environment or prior experience operating a forklift. Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operations Manager. Preferred: High school education and six months related work experience in a distribution center.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the individual to handle and transport products and materials weighing up to approximately fifty pounds. Requires the ability to master use of voice-picking technology and equipment. Requires operating powered equipment including any or all of the following: LP forklift, standup forklift, Order Picker, and SA. Position may require employee to possess a CDL license. May require climbing ladders
