Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI)
Scope of Advertisement
SFI candidates holding instructor pilot authorization on one of the aircraft types A320/A330/B737/B777 in the Turkish Airlines Inc. fleet will be evaluated under this advertisement.
General Qualifications
Born after 01.01.1955 and before 01.01.1990
At least high school graduation(candidates who graduated from abroad are required to submit their equivalence certificates.),
Not having received any written punishment due to flight failure or indiscipline,
Having no Criminal Record or Criminal Archive Record,
For Turkish citizens, completion of military service or exemption is required
Accepting the place to be shown by the Company as the main base and residing there,
Incident/Accident Clearance Statement
Not having quitted jobs in Turkish Airlines Inc. or other organizations due to indiscipline previously
Not having left Turkish Airlines Inc. or Turkish Airlines Inc. subsidiaries due to contract termination,
Technical Qualifications
Holding a valid EASASFI/SFE/TRI/TRE certificate or having held a certificate previously issued by SHGM SFI/SFE/TRI/TRE,
To have a minimum of 100 hours of simulator instructor experience (SFI,SFE, TRI, TRE) on commercial aircraft types above 27 tons,
*For candidates aged 50 and below who have served as captain in airline aircraft, instructing experience is not required.
Health Requirement
Official Medical Board Report; a ‘Committee Report’ issued by State, University, or Training and Research Hospitals”,
•Private Hospital Report; The medical board report must include specialist physicians in Internal Medicine, Ear-Nose-Throat, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Neurology, or Psychiatry.
Minimum requirements requested together with the medical board report: Chest X-ray, Audiometry, Visual field test, Color vision examination, ECG, Pulmonary function test, Laboratory tests (Complete blood count, Fasting blood glucose, Urea, Creatinine, Cholesterol, Triglyceride, Urinalysis, HDL, LDL,ALT, AST).
Foreign Language Requirement
• For flight crews licensed by the DGCA, Level 4 English language proficiency is required; for flight crews licensed by other national authorities of other countries, ICAO Level 4 English language proficiency is required, or alternatively, candidates must pass the Aviation English examination to be arranged by Turkish Airlines.

• For Flight Instructors performing 80 hours of simulator flights per month, a gross wage of 837.900₺ shall be paid, in addition to a gross bonus of 45.380₺ every three months.

Manner of Application and Procedure to follow
• The candidates who meet the above mentioned requirements are required to apply for the advertisement through the internet. Any applications other than internet application shall not be accepted.

*Criminal Archive Record Document, by selecting “official” in the “type of institution” field and “other” in the “why the document will be issued” field (must have been received within the last 1 month) (Expat candidates are required to submit an official document from their country of residence proving that they have no criminal record),
*Military Service Certificate (can be obtained via E-Devlet ) (Not required for expat candidates),
*SSI Workplace Title List and Service Scheme (Not required for expat candidates)
*National ID card; TRID number and date of birth must be visible,
*Diploma or E-Devlet Graduation Certificate,
*Flight License (front and back pages),

*Logbook (last 3pages),

The abovementioned documents must be uploaded in PDF format. When uploading the relevant documents, only the name of the document must be written in the file name, not the name and surname.
• Candidates with a bachelors degree can apply with the graduation certificate or diploma images they will receive through E-Devlet. (Transcript is not accepted.)
• The candidates who become successful at the end of the entire process shall be offered employment, asked to prepare employment documents, and after the candidate delivers the required documents, their employment process shall be completed.
*Expat candidates will be required to provide a reference letter from their previous employer prior to the HR and Business Unit Technical Evaluation stage.
Synthetic Flight Instructor Candidate Evaluation Processes:
• Candidates who pass the online document check are invited to the processes.
• Aviation English Test and Competency Assessment
Candidates who do not have a language proficiency certificate will take the Aviation English test.
The competency assessment process may take place on the same or different days as the Aviation English test.
• Simulator Test
Candidates shall be invited to the simulator test.
• Document Check, HR and Business Department Technical Evaluation
Candidates who successfully complete the simulator test are invited for document check and HR and Business Department Technical evaluation.
Aviation English, competency assessment, and simulator test evaluation stages may vary depending on slot availability.
*Notes
• Within the scope of the evaluation processes specified below, candidates who fail twice in the same process, regardless of the year of participation, cannot be included in the processes again. (Except for the Aviation English exam)
• Candidates who have failed any process for the first time must reapply to the next announcement to be opened in order to be included in the processes again, provided that they meet the criteria of the announcement.
• Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change the processes.
