Our client is seeking experienced TIG Welders for an aerospace manufacturing environment in Fort Worth, TX. This position requires highly skilled welders with experience working on precision components and assemblies in accordance with D17.1 weld specifications.
Position Overview
The selected candidate will perform TIG welding on a variety of aerospace components and assemblies involving both light gauge and heavy stock materials. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail, as many welds are performed on critical parts where imperfections are not permissible.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on aerospace parts and assemblies in accordance with D17.1 weld specifications
- Weld light gauge material (.032 inches or lighter)
- Weld light gauge material to heavy stock (.090 inches or thicker)
- Perform welds close to edges (.25 inches or less) without damaging components
- Weld thick stock materials where complete penetration and flawless weld integrity are required
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of TIG welding experience
- Must be familiar with D17.1 weld specifications
- Aerospace or aviation welding experience strongly preferred
- Experience welding precision and high-tolerance assemblies
- Ability to work with both thin gauge and thick stock materials
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- U.S. Citizenship required
