Conair is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Technical Librarian Assistant to support the control, issuance, and monitoring of technical and regulatory publications essential for the operation and maintenance of our aircraft and components. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that Conair’s technical personnel have access to the most current and accurate documentation required for safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain and support the technical library, including aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and other regulatory publications.
- Retrieves and receives documentation from Regulatory, OEM/Contractors, and internet sources and is responsible for the distribution and digital maintenance of this information.
- Assist in the preparation, revision, and formatting of the Conair Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance Procedure Manual, Maintenance Bulletins, Aircraft Maintenance Schedule documents, Workcards, and other related materials. Contractors.
- Manage the Digital Library Master Templates Directory and ensure template accuracy and control.
- Support the controlled distribution of technical publications both internally and with external contractors.
- Aid company personnel in locating and accessing required information within the digital library or via external sources.
- Monitor and support the Maintenance/Engineering Request Log to ensure documentation-related tasks are tracked and completed.
- Facilitate document sharing and collaboration between specialty departments and Conair personnel.
- Contribute to seasonal preparation of field deployment resources, including relevant documentation packages.
- Other assigned duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sharepoint Database applications, Adobe Professional.
- Strong team player with the ability to focus on internal customer requirements in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of aviation technical publications, maintenance manuals, and regulatory documentation an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage priorities in a time-sensitive, compliance-driven environment.
- Strong grammar, spelling, punctuation and business correspondence skills.
Education and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience or post-secondary education in library sciences, aviation maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Experience in a technical library, document control, or quality assurance environment, preferably within the aviation industry preferred.
