As a Technical Product Owner within the eCommerce Platform Delivery team, you will take accountability for one or more squads within a defined Mission. Your focus will be on the services, APIs, and capabilities owned by those squads, ensuring they are secure, performant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Working closely with Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and business stakeholders, you will translate business and technical requirements into actionable backlog items that drive both customer value and technical excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Backlog ownership: Prioritise and align squad delivery with Mission vision and roadmap.
Requirements translation: Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical outcomes.
Data-driven delivery: Ensure backend systems and large transactional databases meet performance, scalability, and compliance needs.
Integration leadership: Partner with engineers and architects to address legacy-modern integration challenges.
Non-functional excellence: Embed resilience, monitoring, and availability into delivery.
Agile practices: Support ceremonies, manage dependencies, and drive continuous improvement.
Incident learning: Capture operational insights and feed them into backlog improvements.
DevOps advocacy: Promote automation, CI/CD, and event-driven architectures for efficiency.
Transparent communication: Report progress, risks, and value delivered against Mission objectives.
