Job Description

The Technical Service Representative (TSR) provides technical support to customers for Cascade Aerospace’s aircraft products and services, with a focus on providing direct aircraft maintenance technical support to our internal stakeholders and external customers.  The Technical Services Representative is the key technical link between the Customer (domestic and international), Engineering, Operations, and Programs.

This position must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

Provide onsite technical representation or offsite field representation regarding aircraft of Cascade Aerospaces Product and Service customers.

  • Provide internal and external technical support with regards to aircraft Cascade services and modifies including but not limited to C-130, CL215T/CL415, DHC-8 Q400, CRJ series, Airbus A300, Boeing 757/767.
  • Assist internal and external customers in aircraft technical support related to aircraft maintenance, modification, maintenance and fleet planning/support, and maintenance guidance.
  • Assist onsite engineering with the assessment of modification and repair designs and their adequacy for installation on the aircraft.
  • Provide Aircraft On Ground (AOG) support to our customers which involves travelling to their facilities, both domestically and internationally.

Utilize information systems to effectively support project planning, order entry, production control, information tracking, and data retrieval.

Support marketing and sales efforts of Business Development and Engineering departments.

Participate in the administrative activities of the engineering department, including the development of new and more effective practices and procedures in the operation of the department.

Become familiar with and ensure that all workplace conduct is in accordance with Cascade Aerospaces Human Resources safety and security policies and procedures.

Position may require frequent domestic and international travel.

Perform other duties as required.

Core Skills
  • Excellent communication skills: fluent written and verbal English is mandatory.
  • Excellent Computer Skills: word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Specific skill and knowledge in performing manufacturing, maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft or systems and components in the areas of any of the following trades: Mechanics, Avionics, or Structures.
  • Ability to ensure that approved standards of Quality Control are maintained.
  • Proven safe work practices and techniques.
  • Proven ability to communicate in a constructive manner; explaining processes, negotiating around difficult areas and providing a positive working environment.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to  support in the development of estimates and quotations for labour and materials.
  • Self-starter and has the ability to work independently.
Education
  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (approved by TCA or the applicable governing body
  • Type/Rating specific training
Experience
  • 5 years experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
  • 3 years of direct customer-facing experience (preferred)
  • 5 years experience with C130 aircraft (preferred)
