As a Tower Agent, you will work in a dynamic, constantly changing environment and ensure the correct communication and coordination at the center of Delta’s Hub operation in Amsterdam. Focus is on operational performance including, but not limited to, on-time departures (D-Zero), safety, security, customer service delivery and other key performance indicators.

The Tower Agent will serve as an operational liaison between Delta and all contracted business partners within the Amsterdam operation and reports directly to the Operational Service Manager Tower. Operationally the Tower Agent reports to Operational Service Manager Above Wing and Below Wing.

  • Liaises with business partners to share updates and to ensure safe, punctual and customer service norms are met.
  • Is involved in reviewing and (pro)actively communicating the maximization of airport facilities/gates for the benefit of our operation.
  • Partners with the ATL Operations Customer Center and other Hub Coordination Centers in establishing daily operations to meet safety, reliability, and customer service KPIs.
  • Responsible for the timely distribution of daily operational, week & Month reports and updates, as necessary.
  • Participates in daily briefing and proactively actions any concerns raised from Delta, KL or business partners that could impact operation.
  • Monitors inbound customer flow connections and provides analysis that drives our decisions on down/up-line connections.
  • Monitors, adjusts & transfers load data.
  • Plays a crucial role in coordination during IROPs.
  • Participates as needed in projects for innovation.
  • Forecast and place orders for aircraft catering and monitoring for (disruption) changes.
  • Assists the Crew Accommodation team in ATL with crew hotel & transportation planning and monitor’s progress.
  • Responsible for adherence in relation to system aircraft cabin changes.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and Dutch
  • Must possess valid documentation to work and reside in the Netherlands at the time of application (Delta does not provide sponsorship for this role)
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize safety and security for self, others, and personal data
  • Results-oriented and a strong team player with a critical and proactive mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able and willing to work a flexible, varying shift schedule, including extended hours as needed
  • If a current Delta employee or contractor, must be in good standing and performing satisfactorily in their current role
  • Culturally aware and consistently demonstrates Delta’s core values
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • A self-starter who can effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Knowledge of DL One source system
  • Knowledge of OSS and RES automation systems is preferred
  • Operational experience in Airport Customer Service (passenger service and ground operations) is preferred
  • A college-level education or its equivalent is preferred
