Trailer Technician - Mobile
Overview:
Join our team as a Mobile Trailer Technician and become a vital part of maintaining the efficiency and safety of trailer fleets. This role offers a unique opportunity to work independently in a fast-paced environment, performing essential trailer preventative maintenance, repairs with a focus on trailer health and safety, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring our fleet remains operational and reliable, all while enjoying a dynamic, mobile work setting.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of trailer mechanic experience
- Proficiency with trailer PMs, roll-up doors, tire work, air leaks, lighting, and welding
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong repair skills exclusively on trailers (e.g., brakes, tires, patching holes, door repairs)
- Basic set of tools; mobile truck equipment provided
- Excellent self-motivation and time management skills
- Good communication skills, primarily via email/tablet with operational teams
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with trailer roll-up doors and trailer patching
- Welding proficiency
- Previous work on trailer wheel seals, brakes, and tire repairs
- Familiarity with trailer safety standards and repair best practices
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3+ years of trailer repair or diesel technician experience
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to handle basic troubleshooting and repairs on trailers in a mobile setting
- Ability to work scheduled shifts: 4 days, 10 hours (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday) 6am-3pm
- Valid driver's license and the ability to manage work at multiple facilities as needed
